Lake Days

#travel2025 #lemon8challenge During the summer, which is quick here, we would visit a different lake. This was so much fun! Whiskeytown Lake was a surprise I had not been there is over 30 years. So being able to come off the cold mountain and enjoy this lake with our paddle boards was awesome! It should be on your lake day list! Whiskeytown National Recreation Area

Whiskeytown Lake, located within the Whiskeytown National Recreation Area in California, is a hidden gem for outdoor enthusiasts, especially those who enjoy water activities like paddleboarding. With its clear blue waters surrounded by mountain scenery, it offers a refreshing escape during the brief summer months. Many visitors appreciate the lake's tranquil environment and the variety of activities it supports, including boating, fishing, and hiking nearby. We just got a boat about a month ago. We are LOVING IT! I am just having the issue of my hair getting super tangled after riding around the lake all day. Does anyone have any advice to help prevent this?! We are also looking for easy boat snacks too. 🏊🏼‍♂️🚤🛟 #boatlife

Jumped into this freezing lake on a whim and immediately could not breathe. Very thankful my fight or flight kicked in and I made it back to shore. Did not regret a second of it though I will forever love the feeling of freezing water on my skin. Montana

One of my favorite ways to decompress after a stressful day is going to sit by the lake and watch the views. I haven’t had much time to go sit at the lake recently but one of my friends who enjoys lakes just as much as me invited me and this was the results 🥰 we got chased by ducks the whole time.
