Trying NYX Viral Face Glue
I’m not one for primers because as a photographer I rarely see makeup artists use it as opposed to a great skin prep routine.
9/10 for texture- it does feel like glue but lighter so I wasn’t totally grossed out but a little goes a lonnngggg way because I didn’t have to use as much as I did unless you need the makeup on alllll day. This would be great for weddings and doing makeup on a budget.
I will say you have time to blend out each product as long as you’re using a continuous setting spray but once it’s blended in good luck moving it 😂
For the setting spray 10/10 but don’t make the mistake of using it as a continuous setting spray like I did. I usually layer setting sprays after base, after blush, after lip combo but this is going to be the LAST thing you use - do not use it while still blending makeup because it won’t blend out 😅

From my experience trying NYX Viral Face Glue, I found it to be quite unique compared to traditional primers and setting sprays. The texture truly feels like a light glue, providing a strong hold without the heaviness that usually makes me uncomfortable. A little goes a long way, which makes it very economical especially for those who want their makeup to last through long events like weddings or photo shoots. One key tip I learned is to apply this product only after you’ve completely blended all your makeup products. Unlike typical setting sprays that you can layer and spray throughout your makeup process, this face glue works best as the final step—once you use it, moving or blending your makeup afterward is almost impossible. So patience during blending before application is essential! NYX has combined primer and setting capabilities in this face glue, meaning you can prep your skin and lock in your makeup in one step. As a photographer, I appreciated that well-prepped skin is the foundation of a flawless look, and this product supports that with a strong hold and a smooth finish. It's especially great if you're doing makeup on a budget but don't want to compromise on longevity. If you’re someone like me who prefers a great skincare prep over typical primers, the Viral Face Glue could be a game changer. It supports good skin prep but adds that extra layer of security for your makeup to stay put all day. From my personal experience, this product deserves a 9 out of 10 for texture and a 10 out of 10 for setting power, but be mindful of the application timing to avoid makeup mishaps.
