Wabi-Sabi is a Japanese aesthetic concept rooted in Zen and Buddhist philosophies that teaches us to accept the impermanence of all things, and reduce our attachment to perfection. It is more than a taste for beauty, but a way of seeing the world and the way of living, that invites us to discover value and beauty from imperfection, impermanence, simplicity, and the vestiges of time.

Wabisabi is formed by a combination of two keywords:
Wabi (Wabi / Wabi): means simple, perfect, retail, unpretentious, or extravagant beauty, emphasizing appreciation in limitations and cutting off excess.
Sabi (/ Sabi): means, the beauty of time, and the old, the traces of living, fading, or cracks that reflect calm, deep, and storied.
Together, "Wabisabi" means seeing and appreciating beauty in Imperfection, Imperfection, and Incompleteness, three truths that are heavily influenced by the principles of Buddhism, with this concept beginning to play a clear role and being applied in the organization of tea ceremonies (/ chad) by experts like Sen no Rikyu.
