Nakhon Phanom Provincial Chuan Museum (old back)
Nakhon Phanom Provincial Governor's Zhuan Museum (Old Back) is a historically significant conservation building. Located along the Mekong River, Sunthorn Fine Street, the building is characterized by French-influenced Colonial-style Western architecture during the Indochina War.
Important details for visitors
History: Built between 1912 and 1914 by Phraya Phanom Krung (Ui Krung), it was the stamped place of His Majesty Gathibe, Maha Phra Adulyadej the Great, and Her Majesty the Queen of the Thousand Year King when he visited the people in 1955.
Building Characteristics: It is a 2-storey, bright yellow, antique construction without a single nail, but uses wooden pivot entry instead.
Interesting things inside: "Storytelling Pictures" exhibits tell the history and culture of Nakhon Phanom, such as the fire boat flow tradition and the elemental urang legend, dividing the exhibits into different rooms.

การเดินทางมาชมพิพิธภัณฑ์จวนผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดนครพนม (หลังเก่า) ถือว่าเป็นประสบการณ์ที่น่าประทับใจอย่างยิ่งสำหรับผู้ที่ชื่นชอบประวัติศาสตร์และวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่น เมื่อได้เดินเข้าไปในอาคารจะสัมผัสได้ถึงความเก่าแก่ของสถานที่แห่งนี้ ซึ่งสร้างขึ้นตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2455-2457 และยังคงรักษารูปแบบโบราณไว้ได้อย่างสมบูรณ์โดยไม่มีการตอกตะปูเพียงดอกเดียว ใช้วิธีการเข้าเดือยไม้แทน ทำให้อาคารยังคงแข็งแรงและมีเสน่ห์เฉพาะตัว ภายในพิพิธภัณฑ์มีการจัดแสดงนิทรรศการ "ภาพเล่าเรื่อง" ที่บอกเล่าถึงประวัติศาสตร์และวัฒนธรรมของนครพนมได้อย่างน่าสนใจ เช่น ประเพณีไหลเรือไฟซึ่งถือเป็นกิจกรรมประเพณีสำคัญของชาวนครพนม ที่จัดขึ้นทุกปีเพื่อบูชาพระธาตุพนม และตำนานอุรังคธาตุที่เล่าขานถึงความเชื่อและประวัติศาสตร์ท้องถิ่น การแบ่งห้องจัดแสดงอย่างเป็นระเบียบช่วยให้ผู้ชมได้รับสาระความรู้ครบถ้วนและเข้าใจได้ง่าย ทำเลที่ตั้งของพิพิธภัณฑ์ริมแม่น้ำโขงบนถนนสุนทรวิจิตรนี้ ยังเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เยี่ยมชมได้ชมวิวสวย ๆ ของแม่น้ำโขงและบรรยากาศเงียบสงบ นอกจากจะได้ความรู้แล้วยังมีพื้นที่พักผ่อนชิล ๆ ริมน้ำอีกด้วย การเข้าชมฟรีและเวลาทำการที่เหมาะสมตั้งแต่ 09.00 – 16.30 น. วันพุธถึงวันอาทิตย์ ทำให้ง่ายต่อการวางแผนทริปสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวทั้งไทยและต่างชาติ จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัว เมื่อผมไปเยือนที่นี่ได้เรียนรู้ว่า พิพิธภัณฑ์แห่งนี้ไม่เพียงแต่เป็นสถานที่เก็บรักษาประวัติศาสตร์เท่านั้น แต่ยังทำให้รู้สึกเชื่อมโยงกับวิถีชีวิตและความภาคภูมิใจของชาวนครพนมได้อย่างลึกซึ้ง การได้เห็นภาพถ่ายเก่า แผนที่ และวัตถุโบราณที่จัดแสดง ทำให้การเดินชมรู้สึกมีชีวิตชีวาและเต็มไปด้วยเรื่องราว จึงอยากแนะนำให้ผู้ที่ชอบเที่ยวเรียนรู้ลองมาเยี่ยมชมพิพิธภัณฑ์นี้ ไม่ว่าจะมาเที่ยวคนเดียว ครอบครัว หรือกลุ่มเพื่อน รับรองว่าจะได้ทั้งความรู้และความประทับใจกลับไปเต็มเปี่ยมแน่นอน
