Victory Gate, Laos

Gate Chai or Patusai (Lao:) is one of the most important monuments and landmarks in Metropolitan Vientiane, Laos, located at the end of Lan Chang Road in the northeast.

Important Information about the Victory Gate

The Purpose of Creation: Created to Psalm the Sovereign Selfless in the War to Save Independence from France, and to Remember Those Who Died in World War II

Architecture: It resembles the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, France, but is decorated with traditional Lao art motifs such as bird patterns, Ginry and Buddhist history.

Original name: It was called Anousavari.

Scenic spot: Tourists can walk up the spiral stairs to the top floor for a high-angle view of Metropolitan Vientiane.

Facilities: The area around is a park with a fountain (which has been donated by the Chinese government) suitable for relaxing and taking pictures.
