Vanity reset 🎀🤍

Mine recently hit peak clutter, and I knew it was time for a complete vanity reset. It's amazing how much a tidy space can improve your daily routine and mood! Today, I wanted to share my personal approach to decluttering and organizing, almost like an invitation to ORGANIZE MY VANITY WITH ME step-by-step. First things first: the big purge. This is arguably the most crucial step for any effective vanity declutter. I started by pulling everything off my dressing table and out of its drawers. Yes, everything! Laying it all out on a clean towel or mat helps you see exactly what you have. Then, I go through each item with a critical eye, asking myself a few questions: When did I last use this? If it’s been months for makeup or skincare, it’s likely expired or simply not part of my routine anymore. Do I truly love this, or am I just holding onto it? Be honest with yourself! That eyeshadow palette you bought on a whim but never touch? Time to go. Is this still good? Check expiration dates on makeup and skincare. Old products can be bad for your skin. For things I rarely use but still love (like special occasion makeup), I set them aside. Everything else that's expired, broken, or unused goes into a discard pile. This initial declutter makes a huge difference and instantly frees up so much space, setting the foundation for how to organize dressing table effectively. Once the decluttering is done, it's time for a deep clean. Wipe down all surfaces, inside drawers, and any organizers you plan to reuse. A fresh start for a fresh space! Now, for the fun part: finding a home for everything. My strategy is always to group like items together. All foundations go in one spot, mascaras in another, skincare in a dedicated area, and so on. This makes things intuitive and easy to find. I’ve found that investing in a few key organization tools really helps. Clear acrylic drawer dividers are a game-changer for keeping smaller items like lipsticks, eyeliners, and brushes separated and visible. For taller items like brushes or lotions, small cups or rotating organizers work wonders. I also love using small, shallow trays for my daily essentials – it keeps them contained and prevents them from spreading across the surface. When I ORGANIZE MY VANITY WITH ME, I often think about my morning routine and how I want to flow through it. Placing frequently used items within easy reach is key. Finally, maintaining that beautiful vanity reset is just as important as the initial setup. I try to make it a habit to put things back immediately after use. A quick wipe-down once a week helps prevent dust buildup and keeps everything looking pristine. It’s not about perfection, but about creating a system that works for you and reduces daily stress. A clean and organized vanity truly makes getting ready a more enjoyable and peaceful experience!
