... Read morePreparing for an ATEEZ concert is an experience in itself, isn't it? As an Atiny, there's nothing quite like the excitement of crafting something special to wear that truly reflects your love for the group! I’m currently dedicating my time to personalizing a brown cowboy hat for the upcoming show, and it's been such a fun process. If you’re also thinking about how to stand out and show your fandom at your next Kpop concert, let me share some tips on creating your own unique concert gear!
First off, why DIY? For me, it's about expressing my personal style while also celebrating ATEEZ. It’s a chance to make something truly one-of-a-kind that nobody else will have. Plus, it can often be more budget-friendly than buying official merch or customized items!
When it comes to choosing your canvas, think beyond just hats. While a custom hat, like my sparkly cowboy hat, is fantastic and gets a lot of attention, you could also personalize jackets, t-shirts, shoes, or even a fanny pack. For a hat, consider the base color and material. My brown cowboy hat offers a great neutral background for all the sparkling effects and gold-colored embellishments I'm adding.
Now for the fun part: design and embellishments! This is where you can get really creative.
Theme: What's your favorite ATEEZ era? A specific song, a member's aesthetic, or their group colors (red, black, gold)? You can draw inspiration from their album art, music video concepts, or even their official light stick. For my hat, I’m leaning into a "treasure" or "pirate king" vibe, incorporating those gold-colored embellishments to give it that extra flair.
Materials: The possibilities are endless! Rhinestones, glitter fabric, fabric paint, embroidery floss, patches, pins, chains, and even small LED lights can transform an ordinary item into a concert masterpiece. If you're adding text or symbols, stencils can be your best friend, or if you're confident, freehand drawing with fabric markers works wonders. I'm using a mix of fabric glue for my rhinestones and some metallic paint for accents, aiming for those stunning sparkling effects. Don't forget that a cute cowboy emoji or ATEEZ logo can be a simple yet effective addition!
Technique Tips: Always sketch your design out first on paper. For fabric glue, use it sparingly and allow ample drying time, often 24 hours or more, to ensure everything is secure. For paint, do thin layers to avoid stiffness. Layering different textures – like glitter fabric under rhinestones – can create a really dynamic look.
Don't limit yourself to just clothing! You can also decorate your light stick, create small fan banners, or even customize a clear bag to carry your concert essentials. The goal is to have fun with the process and create something that makes you feel excited and connected to the ATEEZ community.
Once your masterpiece is complete, you'll feel an immense sense of pride and excitement. Walking into the venue with something you made yourself, seeing other Atinys with their creative outfits, really amplifies the concert experience. It's more than just an outfit; it's a piece of your fandom, a conversation starter, and a cherished memory in the making. Can't wait to see all your amazing concert looks!
Soo cute just went yesterday 😭 have sm fun!!
