Chronic Illness Hack
I have chronic illnesses myself and am still working on getting other diagnoses. I am no stranger to chronic pain and fatigue, and with it being time for the dreaded October slide I figured we could share some tips and tricks.
My biggest tip is to stay hydrated the best you can (especially if you suffer with dysautonomia). I find that staying hydrated with anything helps.
1000mg of acetaminophen with 600mg of ibuprofen has the same effect as a narcotic, but don't overdo it. (it's a life saver when my endometriosis is flaring)
Heating pads are my friends, they can help with cramps or just releasing tight muscles.
I always keep crackers on hand for nausea (and zofran but not everyone can get a prescription)
I use mobility aids on my bad days, as well as supportive braces/kt tape.

A Tens unit ($20 on Amazon) is amazing for aches and cramps. RockSauce(kind of like icy hot but way better) is my miracle when my skin feels like it’s sunburnt and being rubbed on sandpaper.
