... Read moreHey everyone! I'm so excited to finally share some of my latest original character (OC) artwork with you all. Creating OCs is one of my biggest passions, and I've been experimenting with different styles and platforms lately. It's truly a journey bringing these characters from my imagination onto the screen!
First up, let's talk about some of the digital drawings I've been working on. You might have seen glimpses of Sebastian, my male OC with the long, messy gray hair, glasses, and his signature plaid scarf over a brown jacket. I love giving my characters a bit of a melancholic vibe sometimes; it adds so much depth! Then there's Mark, another male OC who's quite a character with his dark blue and yellow hair. Fun fact: I covered his mouth with a white daisy in one drawing because I just wasn't happy with how it turned out – sometimes you gotta get creative with fixes, right? These digital pieces are where I really get to play with expressions and detailed outfits, making each character feel unique. I even have unfinished black and white sketches where you can see some of my OCs just being themselves, like one making a peace sign while another stands beside him with an arm around his shoulder. There's just something about creating these relationships between characters that I adore!
Now, moving on to something super fun: transforming my OCs into Roblox avatars! It’s been a blast taking my anime-style original characters and seeing how I can recreate them in the Roblox world. It’s not always easy to match every detail, but the challenge is part of the fun. For example, I recently managed to make a Roblox avatar of an OC with long white hair, glasses, headphones, a brown jacket, and a plaid scarf – it looks so much like the original! Seeing them smile in their new virtual form is just the best. If you're into creating your own 'Roblox girl OC' or any kind of Roblox character, my advice is to really think about their key features – is it their hair color, a unique accessory, or a specific clothing style? Then, search for items in Roblox that closely match or can be combined to give that same vibe. It’s like digital cosplay!
Beyond just drawing them, the whole process of character design is fascinating. I spend a lot of time thinking about their backstories, personalities, and how that translates into their appearance. Whether it's the specific shade of orange hair on one of my Roblox avatars or the detailed design of a jacket, every choice adds to who they are.
And for all you fellow artists out there, finding places to share your OC art is so important! There are tons of online communities where you can showcase your work, get feedback, and connect with other creators. It's inspiring to see what everyone else is working on, from detailed digital paintings to quick sketches. Sharing your journey, even when you feel like you don't quite know what you're doing (like me sometimes!), helps you grow and connects you with an amazing community. Don't be afraid to post your original character designs, whether they're finished masterpieces or just doodles. Every piece tells a story and is part of your artistic evolution.
I hope you enjoyed this little peek into my OC world! What kind of original characters do you love creating, or what inspires your designs? Let me know in the comments!
