You’ve come a long way…

I think one of the biggest lies we tell ourselves is that healing should have a finish line.

Like one day you’ll wake up and never think about it again.

Never have a hard day.

Never feel sad.

Never wonder if you’re “still healing.”

But healing doesn’t work like that.

You can be doing better and still be healing.

You can be grateful for where you are and acknowledge where you’ve been.

You can laugh more and still have moments that catch you off guard.

Progress isn’t perfection.

It’s choosing yourself again and again.

If you’re still healing…

I’m proud of you.

Comment CALM if you need a little support on the journey. 🩷

Save this for the days you forget how far you’ve come.

... Read moreHealing is often misunderstood as something with a clear endpoint, but in my experience, it's a continuous process that shapes who we are. One thing I've learned is that you can be doing better, feeling grateful, and even laughing, yet still be healing underneath it all. This resonates with the idea that "healing isn't about never hurting again; it's about hurting without abandoning yourself." In moments when old feelings unexpectedly surface, it can feel like taking a step backward, but it's actually part of the natural rhythm of emotional recovery. Personally, I've found that allowing myself to experience these emotions without self-judgment makes a huge difference. It’s about accepting vulnerability and choosing to be kind to yourself, even on tough days. I also relate to missing pieces of who I was before a painful experience—but without wanting to go back to that place. It's a reminder that growth involves transformation, not erasure. Each laugh and smile does not erase the hard days, but it shows resilience. If you’re still healing, remember that progress is not perfection. It’s about consistently choosing yourself, setting boundaries, and nurturing your wellbeing. When I felt overwhelmed, reaching out for support, whether through friends, community, or even just writing down my feelings, helped me keep moving forward. So don’t rush your healing journey. Celebrate how far you’ve come, and give yourself grace during moments that catch you off guard. You are not alone on this path, and every step you take is worthy of recognition.
