... Read moreHey Lemon8 fam! Building a beauty wishlist, especially with all the amazing sales constantly popping up, can be super overwhelming, right? I've been there, staring at an endless scroll of 'must-have' products and wondering what's actually worth my hard-earned cash. This time, I’m trying to be really strategic, and I’d love to share my process and hear your thoughts on my potential picks!
First off, how do I even start building a smart beauty wishlist for an upcoming sale? My go-to strategy involves a few key steps. I begin by taking stock of what I actually need. Do I have a serum running low? Is my favorite moisturizer almost empty? This helps differentiate between impulse buys and genuine necessities. Then, it's all about research! I spend time reading reviews, watching demos, and checking ingredient lists. I look for products that align with my skin type and concerns, not just what everyone else is raving about. Sometimes, I even try to get samples if possible to patch test before committing to a full-size product, especially for skincare items. Setting a budget is also crucial; it prevents me from getting swept away by the excitement of a sale. I prioritize my essentials first, then consider a 'fun' new item if it truly excites me and fits the budget.
Now, for the fun part: de-influencing (or influencing!) my current thoughts! Looking at my current (and very aesthetic!) collection of potential buys – you know, those gorgeous pink and pastel-colored containers that just call to you – I'm trying to be super critical. For skincare, I'm eyeing a new vitamin C serum and a hydrating mask. Are they genuinely innovative, or is my current routine already doing the job? With makeup, a new blush palette is tempting, but do I really need more shades, or am I just drawn to the pretty packaging? I’m also considering a specific hair care oil that's been all over my feed. Is it truly transformative, or can I get similar results with a more affordable alternative? Same goes for body care – I’m trying to decide if a viral body lotion is a game-changer or just another nice-smelling cream. It’s so easy to get caught up in the hype around popular items, but I’m really pushing myself to think: is this product going to genuinely enhance my routine, or will it just sit on my shelf looking pretty? This whole process helps me curate a wishlist that’s practical, effective, and truly useful, rather than just a collection of trendy items. What are your thoughts? Have you tried any 'viral' skincare, makeup, hair care, or body care items that you loved or wish you'd skipped?
flower knows is pretty packaging but little pigment, I'd skip the &honey and get the tsubaki shampoo in your hair type, Anu is overrated imo, try Soonjung by Etude house almost half the price and actually works. centella retinol is good but strong, everything else meh, try HeveBlue actually work the price or Rejuran if you want to spend the money. Rom&ND, Lilybyred, and Peripera are my favorite for lip. the generic ceramic heated brush that cost $25 on Amazon works great, no need to spend $100. and there is a hair serum that comes in orange, gray, and pink, it's Korean can't think of the name, but it works amazing the gray is called watery serum, the orange the original, the pink for curly hair. I can't use medicube or nambuzine because it bothers my skin so I can't help there.
I’m gonna have to say this but I have the Rom&nd lip there and the fwee pot. Omg there both super nice, the pot dose make your lips look more dry if you don’t moisturize them before applying but besides that it’s one of my daily makeup I use and I’ve had mine for almost a year now and haven’t really made a dent. It’s also a cheek blush so multiple ways you can use it. And honestly the Rom&nd lips are really nice I really like the there lip products and glosses.❤️
