Fill in the blank

The hardest thing about being a stay at home mom for me is the feedback, input & critiquing… Maybe that’s more so just being a mom in general sense I’m sure we’ve all experienced it. I find it frustrating how no matter what you do, it’s either never enough or it’s too much. This world seems to be full of “perfect parents” which amazes me because they don’t exist. We’re all just parents trying to do what’s best for our kids. Mom shaming is so despicable. You have no IDEA the inner workings of the stranger on the internet you’re bullying. Please think before you say something reckless to a mother because you don’t know if she’s at a breaking point. Be kind. #letschat #fyp #lemon8partner #Lemon8Diary #lemon8creator

Many parents face relentless scrutiny and unsolicited advice, often leading to feelings of inadequacy. The parenting landscape today is rife with comparisons driven by social media, where curated images of ‘perfect’ families create unrealistic expectations. This can contribute to a pervasive culture of mom-shaming, which is not only hurtful but can also affect a mother’s mental health. Moreover, it’s important to recognize that every family's situation is unique. Factors such as a child’s temperament, family dynamics, and individual parental challenges all play a role in defining one’s parenting experience. Instead of judgment, the community should foster support, understanding, and kindness. Joining parenting groups or forums where parents can share experiences helps in creating a safe space for dialogue and encouragement. Strategies such as setting realistic goals, seeking help when needed, and focusing on self-care can empower stay-at-home parents. Engaging in local support networks can help break the isolation many may feel, providing opportunities for connection and understanding. Ultimately, it's crucial to embrace the journey of parenthood with grace and empathy for oneself and others. After all, behind every stay-at-home parent is a dedicated individual striving to provide the best they can for their children.

It’s overstimulating without breaks. Even at regular jobs, there are breaks.

Not being appreciated for everything that you do on a daily basis. You are pretty much working from the time you wake up until the time you fall asleep. Every day. Without a break.
