Finished Week 1
On to week 2!
Participating in a crochet along like the Sirdar Crochet Along can be both motivating and inspiring, especially for blanket projects. After finishing the first week, I found that setting small daily goals helped me maintain consistent progress without feeling overwhelmed. One tip I discovered is to keep your workspace organized and have your yarn and hooks easily accessible, which makes it simpler to pick up and continue working even in short bursts of free time. Creating the first week’s section of a crochet blanket also gave me a great sense of accomplishment and motivated me to look forward to what week 2 will bring. I've learned how important it is to join a community or forum, like those tagged #sirdarcrochetalong and #crochetblanket on social platforms, where fellow crafters share tips, color ideas, and encouragement. These connections not only improve your skills but add a fun social aspect to the craft. If you're starting a similar project, keep in mind that consistency and patience are key. Mistakes can happen, but they are part of the learning process. Taking photos of your progress each week can be really rewarding and helps you appreciate how far you've come. I’m excited to continue and see how my blanket evolves during week 2 and beyond.
