MY TBR
As a fellow bookworm, there's nothing quite as exciting as curating your next 'To Be Read' pile. My current TBR list is getting pretty epic, and I wanted to share how I curate it and what books I'm most excited about right now! It's always a mix of recommendations, BookTok hype, and authors I've been meaning to check out. First off, how do I even build this glorious stack of potential literary adventures? Honestly, a huge chunk comes from BookTok! Seeing everyone's enthusiastic reviews for titles like "The Love Hypothesis" by Ali Hazelwood or Sarah J. Maas's "A Court of Thorns and Roses" series just makes me want to jump in. Friends' recommendations are gold too – if someone I trust raves about a book, it's instantly added. I also keep an eye on new releases from my favorite genres, especially those emotional dramas or gripping thrillers. Now, for some of the books that are currently calling my name. "Daisy Jones & The Six" by Taylor Jenkins Reid is high on my list. I've heard so much about its unique format and how it pulls you into the world of a fictional 70s rock band. The whole 'oral history' style sounds incredibly immersive, and I'm ready for the drama and the music! Then there's "A Court of Thorns and Roses" – I know, I know, I'm a little late to the party, but the fantasy world-building and romance everyone talks about has finally convinced me it's time to dive in. It looks like the perfect escape. For something a bit different, "Black Cake" by Charmaine Wilkerson has been on my radar for its intriguing family saga and cultural richness. I'm always looking for stories that offer different perspectives and really make you think. And speaking of thrillers, "A Flicker in the Dark" by Stacy Willingham and "The Soulmate" by Sally Hepworth both sound like they'll keep me on the edge of my seat. I love a good mystery with unexpected twists! Managing a long TBR list can sometimes feel overwhelming, right? My strategy is to group books by mood or genre, so I always have something to fit whatever I'm feeling. Sometimes I want a lighthearted romance like "The Love Hypothesis," other times I'm craving a deep, thought-provoking narrative, or a suspenseful page-turner. I also try to pick one or two highly anticipated reads and then sprinkle in some older gems that have been sitting there for a while. It helps to actually schedule reading time, even if it's just 20 minutes before bed. Ultimately, my TBR list isn't just about reading; it's about the excitement of discovery and the joy of sharing stories. What books are making your heart flutter on your current TBR? I'd love to hear your recommendations and what you're planning to read next!
