Why I love theme and amusement parks!

Since you guys have been enjoying my storytime. I thought I tell you about something else I love besides my cats.

I love theme and amusement parks, yes there is a difference between the two. Amusement parks want to give you experiences going to have cool rides and all the lights just be a good time. Theme parks want to tell you stories, think universal about how it has lands like Harry Potter World and how it emerges you into a story with the smells, food, and rides. It is all perfectly themed, the little details are thought about to make you feel like you’re in a different world. I do not prefer one over the other because both have the energy that flows through you. That energy feels like a warm happy feeling. I find it hard to get that feeling elsewhere.

I just went to Florida last year, I had so much fun getting Disney ear to match my outfit for the different parks. We did 4 days at Disney we went back to our place to rest. I pack 9 ears with 9 matching outfits. Yes, that's a bit much but I found it so much fun looking for ears/outfits. I wore every single outfit I had my am outfit then went back to nap and put on my pm outfit. Universe was the same my sister and I went to the store to find the perfect Harry Potter shirt. Got accessories to match outfits. I love Hershey it smells like sweet chocolate, and they have different Hershey candies, dressed up. They have rides named after popular candies. The gift shop has oversized candy bars. As an adult name another time you get to be fully immersed in something without worries. There are not many times. I think the main reason I love both of them is the artwork of them all.

... Read moreYou know that feeling? That rush of pure joy and wonder that hits you the moment you step through the gates of a theme or amusement park? It’s exactly why I can’t get enough of these incredible places! My last trip to Florida, where I spent four magical days at Disney, really solidified my obsession. It’s more than just rides; it’s about fully immersing yourself in a world built for happiness. For those of us who truly 'love theme parks,' it's about finding that perfect blend of relaxation and exhilaration, making it a true 'relaxplayland'. To really soak it all in, I’ve learned a few tricks. Planning is key! I always research park hours, showtimes, and even dining reservations beforehand. This frees up so much mental space to simply enjoy the atmosphere, rather than stressing about logistics. Don't feel pressured to hit every single ride. Sometimes, just sitting on a bench, people-watching, or enjoying a themed snack while soaking in the 'amusement park aesthetic' is exactly what you need. The joy of these parks isn't just in the big thrills; it's in the carefully crafted details, the laughter of families, and the scent of popcorn wafting through the air. Speaking of aesthetics, that’s a huge part of the fun for me! I absolutely adore planning my outfits to match the park or even specific lands. Like my 'candy corn-themed outfit' with the perfect Minnie ears for a night at Magic Kingdom, with Cinderella Castle sparkling in the background – it's all part of the experience! Finding that ideal Harry Potter shirt for Universal, or picking out accessories that bring your whole look together, adds another layer of magic. It’s about creating your own visual story within their grand narratives, and trust me, the photos you get are worth it! When it comes to 'essential experiences that define each major theme park', it’s not always about the newest, fastest ride. At Disney, it’s about the timeless charm of Magic Kingdom, seeing characters come to life, and the breathtaking fireworks over Cinderella Castle. It’s the feeling of pure fantasy. Over at Universal, particularly with Harry Potter World, the entire land is an experience in itself – walking through Diagon Alley, tasting Butterbeer, and truly feeling like you’ve stepped into the books. And if you're thinking 'MGM' (Disney's Hollywood Studios), it's the gritty, cinematic immersion of places like Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge or the thrilling drops of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror that define its unique narrative. Each park offers a distinct flavor, from the sweetness of Hershey Park to the elaborate tales at Universal, and discovering what makes each one special is part of the adventure. Ultimately, theme and amusement parks offer a rare opportunity for adults to embrace childlike wonder without worry. It’s a chance to disconnect from the mundane and reconnect with pure, unadulterated fun. Whether you're chasing thrills, savoring the themed food, or just enjoying the vibrant 'theme park aesthetic', these magical places truly are an unparalleled source of happiness and unforgettable memories. I hope you find as much joy in them as I do!
