It's crucial to cool the skin immediately after sun exposure by taking a cool bath or shower. Moisturizers containing aloe vera can provide soothing relief and hydration, while over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications can reduce pain and swelling. Staying hydrated is equally important; drink plenty of water to help your skin recover from dehydration caused by the sun. Avoid further sun exposure until your skin heals. To prevent sunburn in the future, consider using broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher, apply it generously before sun exposure, and reapply every two hours. Wearing protective clothing and seeking shade during peak sun hours can also significantly reduce the risk of sunburn. Your skin deserves special care to maintain its health and radiance, especially after it has been damaged by the sun.
