DOs and DONTs of Dutch Braiding!
Dutch braiding is a popular and stylish way to create intricate-looking hairstyles that stand out. To make your Dutch braids flawless and long-lasting, following the right techniques is crucial. Firstly, styling your hair greasy or wet before braiding can significantly help in holding the braid together. This approach works because slightly damp hair or hair with a bit of product grabs better, making the braid stronger and preventing strands from slipping out. Another important technique is to pull the strands tightly after crossing each section under the middle part. This tension keeps the braid neat and prevents it from loosening too quickly throughout the day. Avoid letting your hands drop while braiding, as this can cause sections to loosen and create an uneven braid. Using a small amount of gel during the braiding process is a great trick to prevent frizz. Gel helps keep flyaways and baby hairs in place, giving the braid a sleek finish. However, be careful not to use too much, which could weigh the hair down or create a crunchy texture. When picking up hair sections, go for smaller pieces and tilt your head down. This helps you pull tightly at the base of your head and prevents the braid from bumping or lifting away from the scalp near the neck area. If you notice bumps forming, use a comb to gently push them back for a smoother appearance. It is also vital to maintain even section sizes throughout the braid. Grabbing different sized sections can yield an uneven or messy look. Clean, uniform sections contribute to a symmetrical and polished Dutch braid. Finally, avoid washing your hair more than three times per week if you want to keep your braids frizz-free and manageable. Overwashing can strip natural oils, making hair dry and harder to braid neatly. By keeping these DOs and DON'Ts in mind, anyone can master Dutch braiding with confidence, creating attractive and professional-looking styles suitable for various occasions.

This is cute & all but the older you get & the more you keep pulling ur hair back or have ur hair up in a tight bun, ur actually pulling ur hair line back as well. So be mindful if you don’t want it to look like you have a big forehead later down the road.
