As a new mom, one of the cutest (and sometimes trickiest!) things is figuring out what to do with my baby girl's hair, especially when she's as active as my 9-month-old. But I always choose ones that are lightweight, don't dig into her head, and aren't easily pulled off and put into her mouth. Safety first! I usually try to do her hair after a nap or during a quiet moment when she's distracted with a favorite toy or snack. Sometimes, a quick styling session while she's watching her favorite show works wonders. Baby-Friendly Products: I stick to baby-specific shampoos, conditioners, and detangling sprays. Their formulations are much gentler and won't irritate their sensitive scalp or eyes. A light, natural oil (like coconut or almond oil) can also add moisture and shine without being greasy. Soft Tools: Forget adult brushes! I use a super soft baby brush or a wide-tooth comb to gently detangle her hair. Always start from the ends and work your way up to minimize pulling. Nighttime Routine: To keep her styles looking fresh and protect her hair overnight, I sometimes put a soft satin bonnet on her, or at least use a satin pillowcase.
