Rice+ Ayam bakar= Dinner with a smile

... Read moreIf you're a fan of flavorful, satisfying meals, trying ayam bakar paired with rice at Smile Martabak is a great choice. Ayam bakar, which means grilled or roasted chicken in Indonesian and Malay cuisine, offers a perfect balance of smoky, savory flavors often enhanced by a rich marinade of spices and herbs. Having enjoyed this dish multiple times, I can share that the chicken tends to be juicy and tender, with a slightly charred exterior that adds a delightful texture contrast. What makes this meal stand out at Smile Martabak is how well the ayam bakar complements the rice — often steamed, fragrant, and fluffy — creating a wholesome and hearty dinner experience. You might also find that the seasoning is well-balanced, not overwhelming the palate, which makes it accessible even if you’re new to Indonesian or Malay dishes. Located in Bedok, a vibrant area known for diverse food options, Smile Martabak offers not only a tasty ayam bakar dinner but also a relaxed ambiance that invites diners to come back again. If you visit, consider pairing the meal with local sides like sambal (spicy chili paste) or fresh vegetables to enhance the flavors even more. Overall, this dish is perfect for anyone wanting a comforting, delicious dinner that feels both traditional and delightful. I recommend trying it if you’re ever in the Bedok area and craving something flavorful yet approachable.
