Should I bring my Mental Health posts here?
So on instagram I run a small Harm reduction / education page about substances, addiction and recovery. I’m slowly going to be including more posts about mental health specifically educational information about disorders specifically schizophrenia, schizo-affective disorder, bipolar disorder and Major Depression Disorder. Do you guys think this would be a good idea to also post onto Lemon 8?
For background I have been working in mental health & homelessness since 2018 at my first internship. I think education and harm reduction paired together are some of best things to get out to the general public who don’t work in these populations. Let me know what you think?

In recent years, the conversation around mental health has gained momentum, with platforms like Instagram and Lemon8 serving as vital spaces for education and support. Mental health conditions such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, and major depression disorder affect millions worldwide, yet misconceptions and stigma persist. Sharing expert insights and personal experiences can foster understanding and reduce stigma associated with these disorders. Harm reduction strategies combined with educational posts empower individuals to make informed decisions regarding their mental health. Creating a community focused on mental health awareness can help bridge the gap between individuals living with these conditions and those seeking to understand them better. Resources such as medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and programs targeting the needs of the homeless population are essential topics worth discussing. Highlighting these issues could encourage people to reach out for help and promote healing. By leveraging platforms like Lemon8, we can not only advocate for mental health awareness but also contribute to a supportive community that emphasizes the importance of open dialogue. Sharing informative posts could make a significant impact by equipping readers with knowledge and resources to navigate their mental health journeys. Together, we can turn stigma into understanding and fear into connection.
