Money moves I made this year ✨
Other than budgeting these are some changes I have made to help save and better my kids future!
1. I have opened fidelity UTMA’s for my kids and put $25 a month in each account. I also put a couple hundred in for their birthdays or whenever a relative sends them money.
2. I have prioritized figuring out fun things that do not cost a lot of money or free on the weekends. We love going to new parks, having picnics, and even having tea parties in our living room.
3. Meal prepping has not only saved money from not ordering DoorDash but has also cut down our grocery bill. No more buying too much food that goes to waste.
4. Whenever we make plans to Universal or Disneyland where we know it’s going to cost thousands. We start budgeting and saving months in advance so we are not hurting and in debt immediately after the trip.

Making smart financial decisions for your family goes beyond just budgeting—it's about creating lasting habits that protect and grow your savings while enhancing your quality of life. Opening investment accounts like Fidelity UTMA for your kids is a powerful way to build their financial future with consistent monthly contributions and gifts from relatives. The compounding growth over time can significantly increase their college funds or other important milestones. Prioritizing fun and free weekend outings not only strengthens family bonds but also keeps your expenses low. Parks, picnics, and imaginative indoor activities such as tea parties are creative ways to enjoy quality time without overspending. Meal prepping every Sunday can drastically reduce the urge to order expensive takeout such as DoorDash. Planning meals ahead not only lowers your grocery bills but also minimizes food waste by using ingredients efficiently. Finally, saving months in advance for large, costly outings—such as trips to Universal Studios or Disneyland—helps avoid falling into debt immediately after these experiences. Creating a dedicated savings plan ensures your family can enjoy special moments stress-free. By combining these approaches, you set a strong foundation for financial stability and joyful family time. These money moves reflect intentional choices that prioritize both the present and the future, helping you save wisely and spend meaningfully.
