im 24 years old, I had my first major surgery In November 2022. I had my large intestine removed. (my colon) and they didn't leave a single peace behind of it. November of 2024 was my 4th major surgery) during my last major surgery I had lost some blood and my hemoglobin had dropped. I've taken iron pills to try to get it to go back up.
we're trying to get the process going for me to have an iron transfusion. I've been told that without my colon medications can have a different affect on me than others with a colon.
my question is, will I be affected in any different way when getting the transfusion since I don't have my colon?

Since you no longer have a colon do you have colostomy bag you wear? My grandmother used to wear one that’s how I know about that. How does it affect your daily life as a CNA if at all? If this is to personal I’ll understand if you don’t answer this. I’m just curious.
