As a mom, especially when caring for a little one around seven months old, it’s easy to put yourself on the back burner. I’ve definitely found myself neglecting the small acts of self-care that used to make me feel good. Recently, I decided it was time to put my shell back on — not just the physical 'shell' of looking put together, but also the mental and emotional layer of confidence that comes from feeling beautiful. One of the first things I did was refresh my manicure. It’s a small detail, but having well-kept nails gave me an unexpected boost in how I viewed myself.
