MY BIBLES!

💖 ESV JOURNALING BIBLE: HALLSTATT THEME

I recently purchased this Bible so I could have a “church” Bible to read at church and add sermon notes! The pages feel very thick in my opinion and I appreciate the hardcover because I’m rough with my bibles. I’m not a huge fan of the double columns because it’s harder for me to personally read, especially being 7 point font.

💖 CSB Notetaking Bible, Floral Cloth Over Board

I LOVE this Bible! It features colored maps, a one-year Bible reading plan, and single columns. I prefer the single columns in larger print personally, however it requires more pages so the pages are a bit thinner. I do not have any bleed through from my pastel highlights. The note taking space is large which I love!

✨ My all-time favorite Bible I did not have pictures of because it was damaged so I need to repurchase:

💖 She Reads Truth Bible

This is my favorite Bible. Unfortunately, with moving it became water damaged and destroyed so I need to repurchase it but I’m debating on buying the soft cover leather one (the one I had) or the hardcover. Beautiful artwork, maps, notes added throughout the reading, a specific devotional for each book, etc. It is very easy to understand and I believe a must have if you’re a new Christian. It helped me dive deeper into the Bible. The only issue I had with this one was the pages creasing and ripping extremely easily.

What’s your favorite Bible? Do you have multiple Bibles or just one? What translation do you enjoy?

... Read moreHey everyone! If you're like me, your Bible isn't just a book; it's a journal, a study guide, and a place to pour out your thoughts. Finding a Bible with good note-taking space has genuinely transformed my quiet time and how I engage with scripture. I recently shared some of my favorite Bibles, but I wanted to dive a bit deeper into what to look for when you're searching for your own 'bible with note space.' When I first started my search, I quickly realized there's so much more to consider than just an empty margin! For instance, some Bibles, like my ESV Journaling Bible with its beautiful Hallstatt theme, offer thicker pages. This is a dream for those of us who love to use various pens without worrying about bleed-through. However, I've found that the 7-point font and double-column layout in some can be a challenge for extended reading sessions, especially when you're trying to jot down thoughts simultaneously. It's a trade-off between page thickness and readability for sure. On the other hand, my CSB Notetaking Bible, with its vibrant floral cloth over board cover, totally changed my perspective on single-column layouts and a slightly larger 8-point font. It makes reading so much smoother, and those wide margins are just begging for notes! Plus, having full-color maps and a 1-year Bible reading plan built-in means I have extra resources right at my fingertips, which is a huge bonus when you're deep-diving into a passage or studying a specific region. Even though the pages are a bit thinner, I haven't had any bleed-through issues with my pastel highlighters, which is fantastic. Beyond just writing down sermon points or key insights, I use my note space for so many things: jotting down prayer requests as they come to mind, highlighting verses that particularly resonate with me, cross-referencing other scriptures, or even sketching little illustrations that help me remember a story or concept. It's like a spiritual scrapbook that grows with your faith journey! Speaking of notes, having the right tools is crucial. I've learned the hard way that not all pens are created equal when it comes to thin Bible paper! I highly recommend looking for archival, gel, or no-bleed pens. And those pastel highlighters I mentioned earlier? They're a game-changer for marking passages without obscuring the text or bleeding through. Don't forget Bible tabs – they make finding your favorite books a breeze, especially when you're quickly trying to flip to a reference during a study. Another thing I've learned is that the cover and overall durability really matter. My beloved She Reads Truth Bible, which had such beautiful artwork and insightful devotionals for new Christians, unfortunately got water damaged. So, think about whether a sturdy hardcover or a flexible softcover leather suits your lifestyle better and how often you'll be carrying it around. And of course, the translation! While I love the ESV and CSB, finding a Bible that's "easy to understand" for you personally will make all the difference in connecting with God's word and making the most of that precious note space. Ultimately, the 'best Bible with note space' is the one that you'll actually use consistently and that makes your time in scripture more meaningful. I hope my experiences and tips help you on your journey to find your perfect study companion!
