Playing on multiple teams and participating in several tournaments in a single year is both exhilarating and challenging. From my experience, switching between three different teams last year required adaptability—not just in gameplay but in building chemistry with new teammates and coaches. I noticed that each team had its own style and strengths, which pushed me to grow my skills and understanding of the game. Missing this season has been tough, especially since softball has been such a huge part of my life. The second game of this season was already making me nostalgic, as I reflected on the camaraderie and energy that come with being on the field. However, my excitement to return next season after welcoming my baby girl keeps my spirits high. Balancing motherhood and sports will be a new and rewarding journey. For those of you who love playing in competitive leagues like the San Andreas Women's League or enjoy tournaments sponsored by brands like Under Armour and Modelo, wearing the jersey is about more than the game—it's about community and shared passion. Despite the occasional accident-prone moments as we get older, the joy and thrill of competing make it all worthwhile. I can’t wait to lace up my cleats again and create new memories with my teams and fellow softball enthusiasts.
