Things in our Winter Wedding that Just Made Sense✨
1- The Venue 💒
For the Venue we chose a mostly glass-enclosed building. We wanted to be indoors because of the weather but we were worried about the lighting and we still somewhat wanted an outdoor view. This building was SO gorgeous and the venue owners really did an amazing job with some of the decorations and greenery. Having lit pine trees at the altar was a must.
2- The Decorations 🌲❄️
My sister did most of the decorations with the help of the rest of the bridal party and the Venue owners. I wanted a elegant theme with pinecones and holly. I was obsessed with these bows that my sister made.
3- The Guest List 📝
Me and my husband really did not want a lot of people there. Not only for financial reasons but we both just don’t like a lot of attention and just did not want to create unnecessary stress for the both of us.
4- The Bridesmaids dresses 👗
I told my bridesmaids to get whatever dress they wanted as long as they stayed close to a forest green pallet All the dresses were so gorgeous and they all really understood the assignment.
5- My Dress 👰🏻♀️
I got my dress from a bridal boutique in my town. It was the 3rd dress I tried on and I absolutely fell in love with it. I loved the puffy sleeves and the empire waist was very plus-size friendly. I also loved how it was long-sleeve (it was in the 20s that day).
6- The Memorial Seat for my Husbands Mother 🕊️
I surprised my husband and his family with a memorial seat for his mother. They all loved it. This is a great way to remember your lost loved ones on your special day ❤️.
7- The Groomsmen 🤵🏼♂️
My husband told all the groomsmen to wear black and white suits. My husband provided the ties for them all. They all looked very sharp.
8- The Ring-Bearer 💍
My youngest nephew was our ring bearer. He is on the spectrum. He wore a Christmas-themed bow tie. My mother escorted him down the aisle and it was a very sweet moment.
9- The Flower Girls 🌹
My Sister-in-law ordered the girl’s dresses. They were also forest-green. They looked very beautiful and did such a good job ❤️.
