... Read moreSo, what exactly am I up to? Well, a huge part of my life right now is immersed in dental assisting school! It's been an incredible journey so far, filled with learning everything from detailed patient care protocols to advanced dental procedures. I've always been fascinated by health sciences and the idea of directly helping people, and the dental field just clicked for me. There's so much more to it than just routine cleanings – it's about making people feel confident, comfortable, and truly cared for when they visit the dentist. I'm currently deep into my studies, constantly practicing my clinical skills, and eagerly looking forward to my future career in this dynamic field. It's challenging, no doubt, but the prospect of making a real difference in someone's oral health and overall well-being makes it incredibly rewarding! I'm learning so much about anatomy, chairside assisting, sterilization, and even the administrative side of a dental practice. Every day brings a new skill or piece of knowledge. On the side, I have a passion project that's really taken off: making freshies! If you're not familiar, freshies are these amazing, long-lasting air fresheners, often shaped into fun, eye-catching designs. They're absolutely perfect for your car, locker, closet, or any small space that could use a wonderful scent boost. I started experimenting with different fragrances and shapes as a creative outlet, and soon enough, my friends and family were asking for their own custom freshies. It's organically grown into a really fun small business where I get to unleash my creativity and bring a little bit of joy (and fantastic smells!) into people's lives. I love sourcing new molds and experimenting with a wide range of scents, from comforting sweet vanilla and cozy cinnamon to invigorating fresh linen and fruity blends. It's always exciting to see which ones become customer favorites and to create custom orders that perfectly match someone's personality. It's a great way to unwind and express myself after a long day of studying and clinical practice. Being born and proudly raised right here in North Carolina, I truly appreciate the vibrant community and stunning natural beauty that surrounds me. It's a fantastic place to live, and I love exploring local spots, from charming small towns to scenic hiking trails. I decided to join Lemon8 because I genuinely want to connect with more people, share my unique experiences, and learn from others in this supportive community. Whether it's sharing practical tips for navigating dental school, showcasing new freshie ideas, or just giving glimpses into my everyday life, I'm excited to build a positive and engaging space here. My goal is to expand my platforms and share more of my journey, from my professional aspirations in dental assisting to my creative endeavors with my freshie business.
