The best combo- yorkies and peonies

My original post just touched on how much I adore my Yorkie and these gorgeous flowers, but I wanted to share a little more about what makes these tiny companions so special. Many of us are enchanted by the idea of a 'teacup Yorkie,' and it's easy to see why! Their miniature size makes them incredibly endearing. While 'teacup' isn't an official breed classification by kennel clubs, it's a popular term for Yorkshire Terriers that are significantly smaller than the breed standard, often weighing under four pounds. Owning a teacup Yorkie comes with its own unique set of considerations. They are incredibly fragile and require extra vigilance to protect them from accidental injury. Their tiny stomachs mean they need frequent, small meals to prevent hypoglycemia, and their delicate bones are more prone to fractures. If you're considering welcoming one of these petite pups into your life, finding a reputable breeder who prioritizes health over size is crucial. Then there's the fascinating aspect of Yorkie coats, which sometimes leads to searches for an 'all black Yorkie.' It's a common misconception that all black Yorkies are purebred. Standard Yorkshire Terriers are known for their distinctive blue and tan or black and tan coats, with puppies often being born black and tan, gradually developing their steel blue and golden tan adult colors.
