Be better than yesterday 🖤
In July it will be 3 years since I had my gastric sleeve surgery. I have focused a lot on only being able to eat smaller portions, high protein meals/snacks and working on all the mental things that hold me back. I’ve had to learn to love myself after losing 80 pounds. Now I want to finally get more fit and tone up a lot with having loose skin after losing weight. Here’s to being better than yesterday!

Embarking on a fitness journey after significant weight loss can be daunting yet rewarding. Understanding how to manage nutrition, such as focusing on high-protein foods, plays a crucial role in recovery and fitness. It's important to remember that emotional well-being is just as critical post-surgery. Setting realistic goals, like reducing portion sizes and increasing physical activity, can significantly improve outcomes. Learning to love yourself as your body changes is a vital aspect of this process. Many individuals experience loose skin after weight loss, and exploring options such as strength training can help enhance body tone and confidence. Engaging with communities online, such as those under the hashtags #athomeworkout, #fitnessjourney, and #gastricsleevejourney, provides support and motivation. Sharing experiences and tips in forums can inspire others and foster a sense of belonging. It’s essential to recognize that everyone's journey is unique, and celebrating small victories is what leads to the overall goal: being better than yesterday. Remember, consistent efforts in fitness, healthful eating, and mental wellness pave the way for long-lasting change.
