NYX lip IV
I got to say I honestly am not a fan of this for many reason I don’t know maybe I’ll let it grow on me give it some more time but for no it’s definitely a no.
When I first heard about the NYX Lip IV and saw all the buzz, I was genuinely excited to give it a try. Like many of you, I'm always on the hunt for that perfect lip product – something that delivers on color, comfort, and longevity. So, I picked one up, hoping it would become my new go-to. But after using it for a bit, I've got to be completely honest: I'm just not a fan, and for quite a few reasons. I keep hoping it will grow on me, or that maybe I just need to give it more time, but right now, it's a firm 'no' in my beauty routine. First off, I really struggled with the texture. I was expecting something smooth and perhaps a bit plumping, especially with the 'serum' aspect hinted at in many discussions and reviews. However, it felt a little… off on my lips. It wasn't as comfortable as I'd hoped, and sometimes even felt a bit sticky, which is a major pet peeve for me when it comes to lip products. I love the idea of a hydrating gloss stain, but for me, the LIPIY experience didn't quite deliver that luscious, hydrating feeling I crave. Instead, my lips sometimes felt drier after wearing it for a while, which was truly disappointing. Then there's the longevity. I've seen queries about whether the NYX Lip IV serum review fails, and in my personal experience, when it comes to wear time, it definitely fell short of my expectations. I found myself reapplying far more often than I would with other lip stains or even some hydrating glosses. If I'm looking for a lip stain, I expect it to, well, stain and last through a coffee or a light snack without completely disappearing. This one just didn't have the staying power, leading to a patchy fade that wasn't very flattering. Many of us are curious about the difference between a lip IV serum vs. stain, or a glossy stain versus a hydrating gloss. It seems the NYX Lip IV aims to bridge these categories, but for me, it didn't excel in any one area enough to win me over. If you're hoping for a true, long-lasting lip stain, you might find this one lacking. If you're after deep hydration, there are other dedicated lip serums that might serve you better. It tries to do a bit of everything but doesn't master any particular aspect, which is where it started to feel like a 'fail' for my personal needs. Perhaps it's just my lip chemistry, or maybe I had unrealistic expectations, but for now, the NYX Lip IV just isn't cutting it for me. I’m still on the lookout for that perfect lip product that combines comfort, color, and wear. If you’ve tried the NYX Lip IV, whether it’s the cocoa quench or the drippin in rose shades, I’d love to hear your thoughts – did it work for you, or were you also left saying 'no thank you'?
