Skincare for Winter Dry Skin

Heyyyy ladies!

I’ve been trying super hard to be consistent in my skin care as I struggle with super dry skin/eczema in the winter months. These are some of the products that I think have been helping me. While I’m no skin care guru and definitely still deal with dry patches/breakouts, I have seen more consistency in my skin the past few weeks since using these products. I use more products at times but these are the main ones I have found to work for my skin!

1. InnBeauty Project Slushy Serum Moisturizer $32: Lightweight, hydrating serum that quenches dry skin and improves skin's texture. Hyaluronic acid and bakuchiol work to deliver visibly plumper, smoother skin.

2. Cerave PM Moisturizing Lotion $13:

Ultra-lightweight facial moisturizing lotion moisturizes throughout the night and helps restore the protective skin barrier.

3. Kiehl’s Rehydrating Mask $45:

The Kiehl's Since 1851 Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Mask with 10.5% Squalane is fragrance-free hydrating face mask for dry skin that locks in moisture overnight and strengthens skin's moisture barrier. Wake up to nourished, flake-free, healthy-looking skin.

4. Cerave Healing Ointments $20:

CeraVe Healing Ointment is a lanolin-free ointment formulated with petrolatum, hyaluronic acid, and ceramides. This non-greasy formula hydrates and soothes very dry skin. It also temporarily protects and helps relieve chafed, chapped, or cracked skin.

Let me know what your go-to products are for dry skin! I’m always looking for recommendations! :)

... Read moreWinter can be harsh on our skin, especially for those with dry skin or eczema. This season, it’s crucial to choose the right products that not only hydrate but also repair and protect your skin barrier. Key ingredients to look for in skincare products include hyaluronic acid, which deeply hydrates; ceramides, which help restore the skin barrier; and squalane, known for its nourishing properties. When selecting moisturizers, opt for thicker creams or ointments during the winter. The Cerave PM Moisturizing Lotion and Cerave Healing Ointment are great examples, providing long-lasting hydration without greasiness. Additionally, using a hydrating serum, like the InnBeauty Project Slushy Serum, can lay a perfect foundation before applying your moisturizer. Don't forget to include weekly treatments such as the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Mask. This product not only locks in moisture but also strengthens the skin barrier, ensuring you wake up with healthy and radiant skin. Always remember to layer your products correctly: start with serums, then add your moisturizer, and finish with an ointment if you have extremely dry patches. Lastly, drinking plenty of water and maintaining a balanced diet rich in omega fatty acids can immensely aid in keeping your skin hydrated from within.

You are glowing! I get really dry skin in the winter too and feel like it’s so hard to stay moisturized.
