Haven’t felt very pretty lately and that makes me feel bad because I know God didn’t mess up making me. This world really will get to you and make you question so much.
It's completely normal to have days where you don't feel your best or question your self-worth. I've experienced moments like these myself, where the world's pressures and comparisons make it hard to see the beauty we truly hold inside. What helps me during those times is reminding myself that my value isn't determined by external opinions or fleeting feelings. One way to combat this is through daily affirmations. Taking a few minutes each day to look in the mirror and say positive things aloud can gradually shift your mindset. For example, saying 'I am beautiful as I am' or 'I am worthy of love and kindness' helps reprogram negative thoughts. Another approach is focusing on self-care activities that make you feel good, like going for a walk, journaling, or connecting with supportive friends. These small acts nourish your mind and spirit, helping you feel more grounded and confident. Remember, everyone has worth and beauty that isn’t defined by appearance or other external factors. Recognizing this can be empowering and help you navigate tough days with more compassion for yourself. If those feelings persist or become overwhelming, speaking with a trusted counselor or support group can provide additional comfort and guidance. Ultimately, the journey toward self-love and acceptance is ongoing, but every step counts. Keep reminding yourself that you were created uniquely and wonderfully, and the world is better because you are in it.
