... Read moreOkay, so I finally got my hands on the new Red Bull Wild Berries, also known as 'The Pink Edition'! Like many of you, I'd seen the buzz and was super curious about what this new flavor would bring. I mean, Red Bull always has interesting seasonal releases, and the idea of 'Wild Berries' immediately made me think of something refreshing and perhaps a little tart.
My first impression of the can itself, which was neatly held in my hand inside my car, was how vibrant and eye-catching the pink color is. It definitely stands out on the shelf! The label clearly states 'vitalizes body and mind' in a compact 250 mL can, which is the standard size I usually go for. Opening it up, I took a sniff, and it was a pleasant, sweet berry aroma – nothing too overpowering or artificial, which was a good sign.
Taking that first sip, I immediately noticed a prominent sweetness. It's definitely on the sweeter side of Red Bull's spectrum, perhaps even more so than some of their other fruit editions. The berry flavor is quite distinctive, but not in a way I entirely anticipated. Instead of a strong, singular berry like a dominant strawberry or raspberry, it tasted more like a mixed berry compote. I picked up notes that reminded me of a blend of raspberries and perhaps some subtle blueberry undertones, all wrapped in that classic Red Bull base. It wasn't overly tart, which I sometimes appreciate in berry drinks to cut through the sweetness. This one leans more towards a smooth, sweet berry sensation.
Compared to the classic Red Bull, it’s a much softer, fruitier experience. If you’re a fan of the original’s sharp, almost medicinal kick, this might feel a bit too mellow for you. However, if you enjoy the other Red Bull editions, especially the ones that focus on fruit flavors like Watermelon or Peach, then the Wild Berries Pink Edition definitely fits into that family. It's less tangy than the Cranberry edition, for example, and doesn't have the tropical punch of some others.
Did it live up to its 'vitalizes body and mind' claim? Absolutely. Like any Red Bull, it delivered that familiar boost of energy and improved focus, perfect for those moments when you need a pick-me-up during a long drive or a midday slump. The 250 mL size is just right for a quick energy shot without feeling like too much.
My personal verdict: I found it to be decent, but it didn't quite make it into my top favorites. While the berry flavor is pleasant and the sweetness is enjoyable, I personally prefer a bit more tartness or a sharper, more defined berry note to really make a drink stand out for me. It’s a solid option if you’re looking for a sweet, mixed-berry energy drink, and it’s certainly refreshing when chilled. I think it would be fantastic for someone who enjoys sweeter fruit drinks and wants a reliable energy boost without the more intense flavors of the original Red Bull.
So, if you’re curious about 'what does Red Bull Wild Berries taste like,' I’d say give the Pink Edition a try! You might find it's exactly what you're looking for, especially if you love sweet berry concoctions. I'd love to hear what your thoughts are once you've tried it!
I like it just had it today it’s not better then the vanilla berry one for sure
