I hate buying jeans
Buying jeans is the worst because I can literally never find the right size. Mostly because I am 5’8” and so the pants are either not long enough or too big around the middle. Also why are women’s jeans so expensive for not being overly functional? #unfiltered #shopping
You know that feeling when you just dread jean shopping? Seriously, it feels like the worst pants ever sometimes! And let's be honest, for many of us, the skinny jean trend has peaked, and we're left wondering if there's anything else out there that actually feels good and looks good. I totally get the frustration, especially when you're tall like me. It's a constant battle between finding enough length and a waist that doesn't gap or squeeze too tight. My closet is full of blue jeans that just don't hit right. But lately, I've been experimenting, and I've found some game-changers that might help you too! First off, if you're tired of the skinny jean squeeze, you are not alone! For so long, they were the only option, but honestly, they don't flatter every body type, and sitting in them can be so uncomfortable. I've personally moved away from them for everyday wear because I craved more comfort and a less restrictive feel. You might be surprised how liberating it is to try something new! So, what are the alternatives? Don't despair! I've fallen in love with straight-leg jeans. They offer a classic silhouette that’s super versatile. They’re less tapered than skinny jeans but not as wide as true wide-leg pants, making them a great middle ground. I also love how they look with everything from my favorite black sneakers to dressier boots, without that awkward bunching at the ankle. Another style worth exploring is the 'mom' jean or 'boyfriend' jean. These often have a higher waist and a more relaxed fit through the leg, which can be a lifesaver for those of us struggling with waist-to-hip ratios. They give a cool, effortless vibe, and I find them so much more comfortable for daily wear. Imagine, actually sitting down without feeling restricted! For my fellow tall girls: always check the inseam! Some brands now offer 'tall' or 'long' options, which can make all the difference. Don't be afraid to try different rises too. A high-waisted pair can sometimes balance out a longer leg and minimize gaping at the back. I've also had luck ordering online from brands known for their extended sizing – just be sure to read reviews about fit. And about the cost, which was a huge point of my initial shopping frustration! It’s true that good quality jeans can be an investment, but I’ve learned that sometimes paying a bit more for a pair that truly fits and lasts is better than buying multiple cheaper pairs that just sit in the closet. Look for sales, or consider second-hand options for designer denim. You can find some amazing quality for a fraction of the price. Ultimately, finding the right pair of jeans is about what makes you feel good and confident, not about following every trend. Don't let jean shopping be the 'worst pants ever' experience it used to be. Keep trying different styles and sizes, and you'll eventually find your perfect match. Maybe even with some fun striped blue socks peeking out!

Try men’s jeans, they have deep pockets and they make your butt look great lol
