Love Yourself First

All my life I’ve had the terrible habit of putting everyone else’s needs above my own in an attempt to be loved. And as cliche as it sounds I’ve found that the key is to love yourself first.

It’s not selfish to love yourself first. Because at the end of the day people come and go out of your life and all you’re left with is yourself.

Taking the time to do some self care or focusing on yourself is amazing! And you can still do that plus staying engaged with your family and friends. Life is about balance. Life is about love. This is your life. Don’t waste the time you have being sad or feeling unworthy of love because people don’t show up for you like you do for them. Romanticize your life.

Let me know in the comments if you want me to do a series on how I practice this (I’m still learning to do it too) and how I overcome the societal pressures and take myself on dates!
