Old Navy Cardigan Buy or Bye✨
I fell in love with this Old Navy cardigan and knew I had to try it on. Once I tried it on, I was convinced to buy it for three reasons:
1. Cozy🧸
This sweater is SO SOFT! It literally feels like wearing a blanket! Old Navy uses such great materials when making their clothes, everything I have from there is so comfortable! I am wearing an XL in this cardigan for the perfect oversize fit (I am 5’4 and typically wear a medium)
2. Cute✨
The photos speak for themselves, but this cardigan is adorable. I love the way it can be dressed up or down. Pink is also my favorite color, so that was a plus!
3. Clearence💸
I found this sweater in the clearance section for $22! I was so excited to find a good price on it, so that really sealed the deal for me. It had to come home with me!
Let me know your thoughts, would you have said buy or bye?
Okay, so you've seen my initial thoughts on this Old Navy cardigan, but let me dive a little deeper into why I think it's an absolute wardrobe game-changer, especially for those of us on the hunt for something that feels truly 'cloudcomfy' without breaking the bank. First, let's talk about that fabric and feel. When I say 'so soft it feels like a blanket,' I'm not kidding! This isn't just any knit; it has that luxurious, brushed texture that makes you want to live in it. It's the kind of material that reminds me of those high-end loungewear pieces, but at an Old Navy price point. If you're looking for that 'cloudcomfy' sensation, this cardigan absolutely delivers. For me, the gentle drape and warmth without being bulky are key. To keep this kind of softness, I always recommend washing similar delicate knits on a cold cycle and laying them flat to dry. It helps maintain the integrity of the fibers and prevents pilling, ensuring your cozy find stays cozy for longer. Now, about sizing and achieving the perfect fit. As you know, I'm typically a medium but went for an XL in this light pink cardigan to get that wonderfully oversized fit. At 5'4", I find that sizing up in cardigans gives a relaxed, almost 'boyfriend' style that’s effortlessly chic. It wasn't 'cropped' on me in the traditional sense, but the way it drapes means it hits at a really flattering point, perfect for layering over a white top like I did, or even a slip dress. If you are aiming for more of a cropped look with a longer cardigan, a simple trick is to tie the front two panels in a knot or even use a belt to cinch it at the waist, creating a faux-cropped effect that looks super stylish with high-waisted blue jeans or skirts. The versatility of this piece is another huge win. I loved how easily I could dress it up or down. For a casual day, pairing it with my favorite blue jeans and some comfortable light-colored shoes (just like you see in the mirror selfie from the fitting room!) is a no-brainer. But imagine it over a sleek black midi dress with some delicate necklaces for a more elevated, yet still comfortable, evening look. The light pink hue is surprisingly neutral and adds a subtle pop of color without being overwhelming, making it easy to integrate into many existing wardrobes. And finally, the clearance score! Finding this gem for $22 was truly the cherry on top. Old Navy often has incredible deals in their clearance sections, and it's always worth a thorough browse. My tip for clearance shopping is to always check the fabric content and stitching. Even if it's a great price, you want something that will last. This cardigan passed my quality checks with flying colors – great material, sturdy construction. It’s definitely a testament to finding hidden treasures. It's not just a 'buy,' it's a 'run-don't-walk-to-Old-Navy' kind of buy! Hope these extra insights help you decide if this style of cardigan is right for your wardrobe.
