Another beautiful set from @planningwithk

I’m always obsessed 🤎

Tried another tempt with collages, maybe I can get the hang of it. It sure is fun to make! It does get a little overwhelming sometimes but.. sometimes I don’t want to journal but I feel like I need to do something creative or I feel like I’m going to go insane 😅

Initially, I found the art of combining images and elements to tell a story a bit overwhelming, especially when I’m not in the mood to journal traditionally. However, once I embraced the process, I realized it’s a wonderful way to express thoughts and emotions without the pressure of writing extensively. One of the biggest benefits of collage journaling is how it encourages mindfulness. As you select and arrange your materials, whether they are magazine cutouts, printed quotes, or even personal photos, you become fully engaged in the moment. This focus helps reduce stress and stimulates your creative flow. I often find myself drawn to meaningful words and phrases that resonate deeply, such as 'kindness' or 'caffeine,' which can symbolize daily rituals or values. These elements, even if seemingly random like those discovered in my cutouts – for example, '23 Cabbeine AND KINDNESS' or 'TODAY DIFFICULT' – spark ideas for reflection and new journal entries. Collage journaling also allows for flexibility; you don’t need to be an artist to start. Use what feels right for you and experiment with colors and layouts. One tip I've learned is to balance busy collage sections with simpler pages to avoid burnout and maintain motivation. Finally, joining communities like the #journalingcommunity or following creators such as @planningwithk can provide endless inspiration and support. Sharing your pages and learning from others can enrich your journaling journey and keep your creativity thriving.
