Hello, this shall be my first real post of 2026. I know I’m a bit behind on that considering I am an author who should be promoting her books, but bear with me for this update.

For those of you that do not know, 2025 was one of the hardest years of my life. I spent 6 months at home in PA (I live in KY) to care for my mom through her end of life care. She passed in the beginning of June after a 6 year battle with cancer. At the end of June I moved all my siblings from PA to be near me in KY. We packed up mom’s house, and everyone uprooted their lives for some semblance of a fresh start.

I’ve been home for a little over 6 months and I’m still trying to get back to normal. My mom was my best friend, and I don’t think I’ll ever get used to knowing she’s not here anymore.

As an author, one of my biggest fears was that Mom wouldn’t get to read the end of my first series, and unfortunately, the release date for the third book in the Shattered Source Series was set for June, and I could not finish writing it while I cared for her. I am actually still struggling to pick up the metaphorical pen as my fantasy series deals heavily with themes of grief.

So, for me, marketing my books has been hard because I know my series isn’t finished. It will be this year for certain, but I still don’t know when, and pile all of that on top of what’s been going on in our country (a big giant fuck 🧊btw) I just can’t bring myself to post every day.

All that being said, I know how important it is now more than ever to keep pushing narratives about queer characters, and I am not giving up, I’m just taking my time to fight back against every obstacle and get those stories out to you while doing them the justice they deserve.

Thank you for being here, I love each and every one of you. Also, peep that hand made Shattered Source mug by @gemasterswrites 😍
