Favorite book of 2024
My favorite book so far this year is 100% the Mindf*ck series by S.T. Abby!! It is a five book series that is in one book. It is beautifully written and the author, unfortunately, has passed away. This series is by far my favorite series I have read ever and I am not a dark romance girlie.
SUMMARY:
Lana Myers is driven by one thing: revenge. Something terrible happened to her in her past and she has now returned to 🔪 anyone that did her wrong. On this revenge journey, she meets Logan. He is sweet and generous. Everything Lana is not. Logan is an FBI agent trying to find a serial 🔪 and little does he know that he is dating the person he’s trying to find.
***This is a beautiful book but please check trigger warning as it talks about SA.***
I laughed, I cried, I did not want this book to end. This is a book that I will be constantly rereading!!!

Okay, so you've heard the buzz about The Mindf*ck Series by S.T. Abby, right? If you’re like me, maybe ‘dark romance’ isn't your usual go-to, but trust me, this isn't just another dark romance. It's a psychological thriller that will genuinely keep you guessing, with twists you absolutely won't see coming. Imagine the intense investigative vibes of 'Criminal Minds' blended with a deeply twisted, yet undeniably captivating, love story. S.T. Abby truly crafted something special here, weaving together an intricate revenge plot with an unexpected, almost fated, relationship between a serial killer and an FBI agent. The sheer brilliance of the premise alone is enough to hook you! One common question I see is about the series format. The fantastic news is that while it encompasses five individual books, they are all compiled into one complete edition! This means no agonizing waits between cliffhangers – you can devour Lana and Logan's entire story from start to finish in one epic read. This collective volume makes it incredibly convenient, especially when you're caught up in the gripping narrative. Now, let's have an honest chat about trigger warnings. The original post wisely points out the presence of SA, which is crucial information for potential readers. Beyond that, given the dark and intense nature of the plot, you should also be prepared for graphic violence, psychological manipulation, and morally ambiguous characters. This series delves into very heavy themes, exploring trauma, revenge, and justice from a unique perspective. I always recommend checking a more detailed trigger warning list online if you're sensitive to specific topics, just to be safe. However, for those who can navigate these elements, the emotional depth and thrilling payoff are immense. What truly makes Lana and Logan's dynamic so captivating? It's the ultimate cat-and-mouse game, played with deeply personal stakes. You’ll find themes of 'healing and protecting' woven throughout their complex relationship, as Lana navigates her quest for justice and Logan grapples with his duty. Her journey to 'finding purpose' beyond her past trauma is central to the narrative, and S.T. Abby explores these internal conflicts masterfully. That chilling quote, 'He came into this alley as the predator. He'll die as the prey,' perfectly encapsulates the intense power shifts and nail-biting suspense that define their interactions. It's absolutely no wonder this series exploded on BookTok! The incredible plot twists, the morally grey characters you can't help but root for, and the sheer emotional rollercoaster make it perfect for endless discussion and theorizing. S.T. Abby's writing is incredibly immersive and propulsive, which makes her untimely passing even more of a profound loss to the literary world. Her ability to craft such a compelling narrative, one that resonates deeply even with readers who typically shy away from dark romance, speaks volumes about her talent. And for those wondering about the 'spicy chapters' – yes, there are intimate moments that add to the intensity of Lana and Logan's connection. But these scenes are integral to their developing relationship and the overall narrative; they're not just there for shock value. They enhance the complexity of their bond amidst the chaos and emotional turmoil. It’s all part of the complete 'mindf*ck' experience that leaves you breathless and thinking about it long after you’ve turned the last page!
