Reading stats for 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣3️⃣ 🗓️🎉

Here is my reading wrap up for everything I read in 2023! 🎉🫶 I’ve had the same goal for the past three years, and like that it challenges me to average about 10 books per month, which is a great pace for me!

I feel my best, and most productive and relaxed, when reading is a regular part of my routine- so finding a set routine where reading is involved on the daily is perfect for me. ✨

In 2023, I’m glad I hit my goal (on the last day, too🫠), it was definitely a challenge this year with traveling. Now that I’m a full time content creator, I should have more time for reading, but I’m going to keep the goal the same for 2024.

I’ll be showing off more posts with favorite fiction and nonfiction reads of the year, but want to list some goals I have for next year here as well. 🤗

📖 Read 120 books

📖 Read more nonfiction, approx. 10% of total books read

📖 Hang up art in my home library, and purchase a side table and rug for the space

📖 Get a rolling ladder installed

📖 Focus more on my book club, with more posts throughout the month, getting more interactive with the members (shoutout to the Moody Readers book club!)

📖 Focus more on long form videos, and diversifying content across platforms

📖 Set up a landing page website & create a media kit

📖 Make some $$$$ being a content creator 🤑

Do you have any book-related goals for 2024?

... Read moreIn 2023, the reading community witnessed a growing interest in diverse genres, with many readers including more nonfiction in their reading lists. Average statistics reveal that long-form narratives remain popular, while young adult and romance genres continue to dominate reader selections. The emergence of online platforms like Storygraph and Goodreads has made tracking reading progress easier than ever, allowing readers to set personalized goals and interact with book clubs. Additionally, incorporating aesthetic elements into personal reading spaces, like art and cozy furnishings, aligns well with the holistic reading experience, promoting a comfortable environment. Readers are also increasingly engaging with audiobooks and digital formats, diversifying their intake. Setting tangible goals for 2024, such as prioritizing nonfiction reads or interactive book club activities, can significantly enhance one’s reading journey and foster a stronger connection with literature. With a focus on maintaining a consistent reading schedule, book enthusiasts can cultivate a sustainable habit that enriches both their knowledge and enjoyment of literature.
