Survived My Birthday. Didn’t Survive B and N.

I lived through another year, but I struggled to survive Barnes & Noble. Though I didn't blackout too much, I went all out. I blame both my birthday gift cards and the Black Friday deals for my new stack of books, which will sit next to my never-ending TBR. However, I gained more from my B&N membership than I saved with the discounts!

Anyways, here is what I grabbed:

Girl Dinner (only planned on getting this one)

Murder at Holly House

Rabbit Club

The Compound

The Unworthy

Cultish

Let me know how I did and if I'll reach my book challenge goal with these reads! I’m only six books away from hitting 52!!!

Have you read any of these, or should I spend money on more books? 😂♥️

... Read moreAfter snagging these captivating titles during the Barnes & Noble Black Friday sale, I'm excited to dive into some engrossing reads that will hopefully keep my book challenge momentum going strong. 'Girl Dinner' by Olivie Blake promises a unique literary experience, while 'Murder at Holly House' by Denzil Meyrick offers a quintessential Yuletide murder mystery that's perfect for this season. I also grabbed 'Rabbit Club' by T. Christopher J. Yates, which looks like an intriguing thriller. The stack wouldn't be complete without 'The Compound' by Aisling Rawle and 'The Unworthy' by Agustina Bazterrica, which have been highly recommended by fellow readers for their gripping narratives. 'Cultish: The Language of Fanaticism' by Amanda Montell rounds out the collection, diving into the fascinating psychology behind cults and fanaticism — a compelling nonfiction read that adds variety to my usually fiction-heavy to-be-read pile. Thanks to my Barnes & Noble membership, I saved more than just the Black Friday discounts, proving that investing in memberships for your favorite bookstores can be a smart move for avid readers. This haul not only fuels my reading challenge — now just six books away from 52 this year — but also reaffirms my love for exploring different genres and authors. For those considering expanding their own bookshelves, these selections cover a nice range of mystery, thriller, literary fiction, and nonfiction, ensuring you won’t get bored anytime soon. Have you read any of these? Or are there other hidden gems you’d recommend? Let’s share some book love and keep the reading journey exciting together!
