🌸PokéLids-Slowpoke ed. 🌊part 2

Part 2 of the Pokemon Lids I found in Kagawa . This might be one of the coolest things I did in Japan! 🇯🇵

It really pushed me to explore different areas of the prefecture, guiding me along my own sightseeing tour. There are a couple I missed on my last visit so I definitely want to complete my set next time! 🤞

I also included some bonus pictures of some super cute food and candies stuff I found in Slowpoke shape! 💕

Kagawa

... Read moreAfter my last trip, I realized there's so much more to Kagawa than just hunting for PokéLids! It's truly a 'YADON PARADISE', and I want to share my expanded tips for anyone looking to dive deeper into Kagawa's Slowpoke world. While the main article touched upon the joy of finding these unique Slowpoke manhole covers, let me tell you, the thrill of tracking down each one was a real highlight! Kagawa has several distinct designs, often depicting Slowpoke with local landmarks or other Pokémon like Galarian Slowbro and Shellder. I found these manhole covers weren't just art; they were perfect guides, leading me to explore charming corners of Kagawa that I might have otherwise missed. My advice? Grab a map (often available at tourist centers) and make it a treasure hunt! Spotting a Slowpoke statue or another themed display was always an unexpected bonus during my explorations. But Kagawa's Slowpoke love goes way beyond the lids! Did you know Slowpoke (or Yadon in Japanese) is Kagawa Prefecture's official Pokémon? This means you'll find Yadon everywhere, especially when it comes to local delicacies. One of the most famous is 'Yadon Udon' (which sometimes appears as 'Xudon' in searches!). I had to try it, and it was such a delightful experience. Imagine delicious Kagawa udon, often served in a pink Slowpoke-themed bowl or even with a topping shaped like Slowpoke's tail! It's not just a meal; it's a playful nod to the region's mascot, and the idea of 'Slowpoke eating noodles' truly comes to life in these creative dishes. Finding cafés or dedicated udon shops serving this was a quest in itself, but so worth it for the taste and the photo op. Beyond the savory, Kagawa is a treasure trove for Slowpoke merchandise. I was thrilled to find a wide array of goods, from adorable plushies to stationery, but my favorites were definitely the edible souvenirs. Remember those 'Yadon no Mimi' cookies and 'Yadon Kawara Senbei' crackers? They're not just cute; they're genuinely tasty and make perfect gifts. I even spotted a charming 'Slowpoke figurine' standing proudly amongst other themed sweets and candies. Look out for shops near major tourist spots or train stations, as they often carry exclusive Kagawa Slowpoke items. It’s impossible to leave empty-handed! So, if you're planning a trip to Japan, don't just pass through Kagawa. Embrace the Slowpoke spirit! Whether you're a Pokémon fan or just looking for a unique cultural experience, hunting for PokéLids, savoring Yadon Udon, and collecting cute merch will make your visit truly unforgettable. I'm already planning my next trip to find the few lids I missed and discover even more Slowpoke treasures!
