Put it TF on 🖤🐾
Went for a two-mile dog walk this afternoon in my Avia sneakers (Walmart!) and a TJ Maxx set I’ve had but never worn. First time rocking this outfit—and not gonna lie, I was nervous.
Truth is, I get self-conscious about how my midsection looks. It’s not fat, it’s tissue, skin, and literal organs—but the pressure to “earn” certain clothes with a certain body is real.
but today I did it. I wore it. I moved my body. I felt strong. I felt good. And my client Mindy? I think she was feelin’ the fit too #bodypositivity #selfkindness #blackwomenmatter
Body positivity is a movement that encourages individuals to embrace their bodies regardless of shape, size, or appearance. It challenges societal standards of beauty and promotes self-acceptance. Many people struggle with body image issues, feeling pressured to conform to idealized body types. This can lead to negative self-talk and reluctance to wear certain outfits. By sharing stories and experiences of self-love, we can create a supportive community that uplifts one another. Engaging in physical activities like walking can boost our mental health and help us appreciate our bodies for what they are capable of. On social media, hashtags such as #bodypositivity and #selfkindness are crucial in promoting awareness and support. Let's work together to celebrate diversity in body types and foster an environment where everyone feels confident and empowered in their own skin.
