Guilty as charged 👮🏼‍♀️

... Read moreAs an avid reader myself, I can definitely relate to many of the 'suspect' behaviors mentioned here. For instance, I often find it impossible to resist purchasing an entire book series before even reading the first installment—there's something satisfying about having the whole story ready to dive into. Also, I absolutely must read physical books; digital versions just don't provide the same sensory experience, from the feel of the pages to the smell of the paper. I have to admit, I do judge books by their covers more often than I'd like to admit. A beautifully designed cover can be the catalyst that draws me in, even if the synopsis is vague. Another guilty pleasure is buying multiple special editions of the same book. I guess they feel like treasure troves of memories, and I love collecting those unique editions that celebrate my favorite stories. One challenge many readers share, including myself, is keeping track of complex plots. Forgetting the details within 24 hours of finishing is frustrating but relatable. It often makes me appreciate re-reading old favorites or taking notes while reading to keep the storyline fresh. Finally, rating a book highly because it moved me emotionally—like making me cry—is a sincere way to honor the deep connection formed with the story. These quirks create a personal and heartfelt reading journey, reminding us that being a book lover is about passion more than perfection.
