Genesis 1:1

GENESIS 1:1

In the beginning GOD created the Heavens and the Earth.

When we go back to the very first verse of the Bible, we are reminded that everything begins with GOD. Before there was light, before there were mountains, oceans, stars, or even time itself—GOD was already present, fully in control, fully powerful, and fully purposeful.

Genesis 1:1 is a declaration of strength and encouragement for every believer. It tells us that the same GOD who spoke the entire universe into existence is the same GOD who watches over us today. If HE can create galaxies with HIS Word, then surely HE can shape our lives, calm our storms, guide our steps, and bring beauty out of chaos.

When we feel overwhelmed, this verse reminds us that our situation is not bigger than the GOD who created the whole world. When we feel uncertain, it reminds us that we belong to the One who put every star in its place. And when we feel small, it encourages us to remember that the Creator of Heaven and Earth knows us by name and loves us beyond measure.

So take heart—the GOD who created everything from nothing is more than able to create hope, restoration, and new beginnings in your life.
