John 3:16
Today the world is celebrating Valentine’s Day ❤️ — flowers, chocolates, couples, and romantic love. But while many celebrate, others feel forgotten, left out, or unseen because they don’t have a spouse, a boyfriend, or a girlfriend.
But there is a greater love.
Scripture tells us in John 15:13, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” That is powerful. Yet even deeper than human love is the love of GOD.
John 3:16 reminds us: “For GOD so loved the world, that HE gave HIS only begotten SON, that whosoever believeth in HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
That is not a one-day love. That is not a seasonal love. That is not a love based on status, relationship, or whether someone bought you flowers.
That is sacrificial love. Eternal love. Unconditional love.
GOD loved the world so much that HE gave HIS SON. JESUS laid down HIS life on the cross — not just for a select few, not just for couples, but for all mankind. For the single. For the married. For the widowed. For the divorced. For the brokenhearted. For the searching. For you.
HE does not want anyone to perish. HE desires that we believe, turn to HIM, be baptized, and receive everlasting life.
So if today feels heavy… if social media makes you feel like you are missing something… remember this:
You are already deeply loved.
You are already chosen.
You are already seen.
There is a love greater than roses.
Greater than romance.
Greater than one calendar day.
It is the love of GOD — and it never leaves anyone out.
