What once felt like verses I read now feel like promises I stand on. The more I walk through life’s valleys and victories, the more real GOD’S Word becomes to me.
I have learned that my total reliance is upon GOD. I am deeply thankful for the people HE places around us, those who pray for us, love us, encourage us, and show kindness when we least expect it. That kind of love is a gift. But even with all of that, my foundation, my anchor, my dependence is fully on GOD alone.
My prayer is that GOD continues to send good people our way. And not only that, but that we ourselves would be the good people HE sends into someone else’s life. That we would be the difference. That we would be the light.
Jesus said in Matthew 5:14–16 (KJV),
“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
In a world that can feel dark and unkind, GOD’S children will shine even brighter. When someone chooses cruelty, let us choose kindness. When someone grows cold, let us stay warm in spirit. When someone speaks harshly, let us pray and try to respond with grace.
Isaiah 60:1 (KJV) says,
“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.”
I pray that hearts do not grow cold. I pray that we recognize kindness when GOD sends it. I pray we remain grateful. I pray we shine so brightly that even in the middle of darkness, the difference is undeniable.
And as we walk this journey, may we continue to walk by faith and not by sight.

Finally, the reminder to "walk by faith, not by sight" is an ongoing challenge but also a source of peace. It requires trust in God's timing and plans even when the outcomes are not immediately visible. This mindset helps me navigate life’s unpredictability with hope and resilience. In all, embracing God's light and love encourages us to be living testimonies of faith that transcend mere words, echoing through our attitudes, choices, and relationships every day.
