Let me introduce myself

It's taken me a little while, but I really wanted to properly introduce myself and share a bit more about who I am beyond just a few quick posts. There's so much to me, and I'm really excited to open up and connect with you all, especially since I've seen some curiosity about what it's like to be a mixed Native individual. Being a mixed Native person with white heritage has truly shaped my perspective on life and my work. It’s a unique identity that brings a rich blend of cultures and experiences. Growing up, I learned to embrace both sides of my background, and it's given me a deep appreciation for diversity, which I believe shines through in everything I do. It’s not always straightforward, but it’s a beautiful part of who I am, influencing how I see the world and how I interact with people, both in my personal life and in my professional life as a hairstylist. Speaking of my work, yes, I'm a hairstylist based right here in DFW, TX! I absolutely love what I do. It's more than just cutting and coloring; it's about helping people express themselves and feel confident. My hairstyling skills are pretty versatile – one day I'm perfecting subtle blonde highlights, and the next I'm diving into bold rainbow looks that truly pop. My diverse background helps me connect with clients from all walks of life, understanding their unique needs and helping them achieve their dream hair. It’s incredibly rewarding to see someone light up after a transformation. Outside of the salon, my life is just as vibrant. I'm happily married to my wonderful husband, who happens to be a fantastic realtor, and together we have an adorable son. He’s two, but honestly, we joke that he’s '2 going on 13' because he has such a big personality already! Family is everything to us, and we cherish our time together, whether it’s at home or on an adventure. We love to travel whenever we get the chance, exploring new places and making lasting memories. And then there are my passions! If you know me, you know I’m absolutely obsessed with dogs—they even visit me at work sometimes, which is the best! My other huge passion is animals, especially elephants. It’s actually on my bucket list to visit every single zoo in the USA. There’s something so majestic and gentle about elephants that just captivates me. So, if you ever have any zoo recommendations or animal stories, I’m all ears!
