Baby showers are typically held during the mother’s third trimester, ideally around 28-34 weeks. *Brainstorm themes:* Get inspired by colors, potential nursery designs, or even baby names! 8-10 Weeks Before: *Book your venue:* Especially if it's a popular location or you need catering. Think someone’s home, a restaurant, or a community center. *Send out 'Save the Dates':* Especially helpful if many guests are traveling or have busy schedules. *Create your baby registry:* Share it with your hosts to include in invitations, making it easy for guests to pick out those adorable baby items. 4-6 Weeks Before: *Send invitations:* Mail them out or send digital invites. Remember to follow up with non-Facebook users if you go digital! *Plan games & activities:* Don't forget prizes to make it fun and engaging for your guests! *Order decor and supplies:* Target, Amazon, Walmart, or a local party store will have everything you need to complete your baby shower dreams. 2-3 Weeks Before: *Confirm RSVPs:* Follow up with anyone who hasn't responded. *Finalize menu/catering:* If applicable. *Assemble favor bags or prizes.* 1 Week Before: *Confirm with photographers/vendors.* Dedicate a person to take pictures, or even hire a professional to help you remember your special day. *Delegate tasks to helpers:* Don't try to do it all yourself! Your loved ones want to support you. *Relax and get excited!* Now, about those precious memories! You'll be taking so many photos, and finding the perfect caption can be fun. Here are some ideas I love for baby shower pics, whether it's a mirror selfie with your bump or a group shot with loved ones: Sweet & Sentimental: 'Feeling so loved and showered with joy! While planning my shower, I loved tracking my baby's development. It made everything feel so real and connected to the upcoming celebration. Around the time you're having your shower (typically the third trimester), your baby is growing rapidly! For instance, at 28 weeks, your little one is often compared to an eggplant, weighing about 2.2 pounds. By 32 weeks, they might be the size of a large jicama or a head of lettuce, around 3.7 pounds. And closer to 36 weeks, many babies are the size of a honeydew melon, weighing about 5.5 to 6 pounds! It's such an amazing journey, and every week brings you closer to holding that precious bundle. These size comparisons always made me smile and feel even more connected to the tiny human I was celebrating with my loved ones.
