I Did NOT Expect This
Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect as a first time mom. You can only prepare so much, and I felt like I had read everything on baby apps and articles, but life is full of surprises. Three things I was NOT expecting as a first time mom were:
❣️How fun it would be watching my baby learn to crawl, stand, and eventually walk. Each developmental milestone she achieved made me feel so proud, and bittersweet that we turned a page to a new chapter.
❣️The nostalgia that surrounds holidays, and the excitement around forming your own holiday plans and traditions with your family is the best feeling ever. Holidays get better every year the older she gets!
❣️How often I would stare and watch my baby do literally anything because I love her so much. Sometimes I’ll daze off for 5 minutes just thinking about her, her future, and how much she’s grown.
